The fourth annual Nordic Roots Festival will move from April to September 20-22nd this year. The reason for the move to September is to better coincide with other regional festivals and seek more sponsorship. The festival has lost two major sponsors since last year. The festival, which features concerts, events and workshops, will again feature leading bands of the New Nordic movement at the Cedar Cultural Center on the West Bank. The festival was presented with a CUE (Committee on Urban Development) award by the City of Minneapolis on January 28th for significant achievement in enlivening the City's cultural environment.
